Steel Construction Phase Begins on New CMH

Another construction landmark begins today as the first steel beam of the new Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura is slated to be raised around 12 noon.

To complete the task of erecting the steel skeleton of the new hospital, one of the largest cranes to be utilized in Ventura County has been brought onto the site.  The crane, which is visible throughout the city of Ventura, reaches up to a height of 270 feet.
